The timber house construction technology is often called the Canadian system, the Norwegian system or the frame system. The houses with timber frame are still relatively rare in Poland, but the number of supporters of this technology is increasing rapidly. This is mainly due to the fact that, compared to the time of building a traditional brick house (several months), the assembly of a wooden house can take only a few hours.
Wooden prefabricated houses are placed on a cured concrete foundation, in most cases on a foundation slab, and their distinguishing feature is high assembly accuracy. Timber is a natural building material and ensures high ergonomics, quick construction procedures and low operating costs, especially heating costs. Using this technology, we focus primarily on the possibility of using the latest solutions.
Timber frame constructions accounts for about 15% of houses in Poland, compared to over 90% in the USA, 95% in Canada, 90% in Norway, 80% in Finland and over 50% in Western Europe.
